Find Food

Welcome! We're so glad you want to fight hunger in Williamsburg!

In Williamsburg 1 in 5 people don't where their next meal will come from… look up stats

Whether you'd like to organize a neighborhood food collection, support our mission financially, or simply learn more, you've come to the right place. Explore the information below, then complete the Get Involved form at the bottom of this page, and we'll help you find the opportunity that's the best fit for you.

PORCH Makes It Easy

Our model is simple: monthly neighborhood food drives that directly support local food pantries.

Once a month, neighbors place bags of non-perishables on their porches

1

Volunteers collect the donations

2

Donations are brought to a local food pantry to fill their gaps

Be the neighbor who makes a difference.

PORCH Neighborhood Coordinators are the heart of our success! Each month, they mobilize their neighbors to keep local food pantries stocked with the items most needed by the community. With our proven model and ongoing support, you can make an impact in as little as 3 hours a month.

What You'll Do as Neighborhood Coordinator

PORCH Volunteers

Spread the word about PORCH (through word of mouth, social media, email, etc.)

Encourage neighbors to donate a bag of non-perishable food each month

Partner with a local pantry to understand their specific food needs

Collect and deliver donations to the pantry, thanking your generous neighbors

Report your results to PORCH headquarters and share lessons learned

We give you everything you need to succeed:

Step-by-step guidance with start-up guides and training

An online resource center full of tools and tips

Marketing support to spread the word in your community

A network of volunteers across the country who share your passion

You won’t be doing this alone — you’ll be part of a team dedicated to fighting hunger and making your community stronger.
