About PORCH

Wake Forest

PORCH Wake Forest is an an all-volunteer hunger relief organization that connects neighbors to fight local hunger. Through monthly neighborhood food drive, we collect food and cash donations to help keep pantry shelves stocked year-round — providing consistent support for individuals and families facing food insecurity in our community.

Daniel Simon, Ariana Simon, Dylan Koliander, and Devin Koliander co-founded PORCH – Wake Forest in March 2021 as an ongoing response to community need. Our mission has always been to help kids in need and wevare now partnering with The Boys and Girls Club of Wake Forest, Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry, Casa Esperanza, and your local food pantry to accomplish this goal.

Each PORCH is part of PORCH Communities, a national movement empowering neighbors to fight hunger through local action.

How PORCH Works

It all starts with PORCH for Pantries.

Once a month, neighbors place bags of non-perishables on their porches

1

Volunteers collect the donations

2

Donations are brought to a local food pantry to fill their gaps
