Setting out to
fight hunger
Established in 2011, PORCH-Durham’s mission is to provide supplemental food to children and families facing hunger in Durham County.
Our nonperishable food collections support a number of hunger programs, including pantries in Durham Public Schools and community pantries across our community.
Since Durham Public Schools closed campuses in mid-March 2020, PORCH-Durham has continued to collect non-perishables, serving hundreds of Durham children and families every week with emergency food. We have continued our grocery gift card program, purchasing and distributing over $200,000 in grocery gift cards to our partner organizations.
Monetary donations are still needed to continue this support. You may online donate here: or mail a check to PORCH-Durham at PO Box 3203 Durham, NC 27715.
Following us on Facebook and signing up for our newsletter (visit durham.porchcommunities.org) are the best two ways to keep up with the ongoing needs and updates.
Thank you so much for your support!
