PORCH Makes it Easy

Our model is simple: monthly neighborhood food drives that directly support local food pantries.

Once a month, neighbors place bags of non-perishables on their porches

1

Volunteers collect the donations

2

Donations are brought to a local food pantry to fill their gaps

What You'll Do as Neighborhood Coordinator

You pick the monthly collection day that works for you.

PORCH Volunteers

Spread the word about PORCH in your neighborhood (word of mouth, social media, email — whatever fits you)

Invite your neighbors to contribute a bag of non-perishable food each month

Check in with your pantry partner to learn what they need most

Collect and deliver the donations — and thank the neighbors who made it happen

Share your monthly totals with your Chapter Leader so we can track our community's impact

You Won't Be Starting From Scratch

Your PORCH Chapter Leader will make sure you have:

A pantry partner from day one. We already work with several local pantries — or we'll help you connect with one closer to home.

Ready-to-use materials. Introductory letters, postcards, yard signs, and social posts — delivered to you, ready to hand out.

Step-by-step guidance and training. A proven start-up process, plus ongoing support from your Chapter Leader as you get going.

A national network behind you. A resource center, peer forums, and hundreds of volunteers doing exactly what you're doing.

You bring the neighbors. We bring everything else.

Neighborhood Coordinator

"If I can do it, anybody can. There are lots of ways to do it, and PORCH really does make it simple."
