How PORCH Works

PORCH is built around the very simple idea of a neighborhood food drive. Here’s how it works, in three easy steps:

Volunteer

Start a neighborhood Food Drive

  • Contact PORCH Raleigh to get your start up kit 
  • Recruit and email your donors with your collection date and  the best items to donate
  • Collect donations from the porches in your neighborhood.
  • Deliver to a designated location and record your donations

Ways to Donate

Donate Online to provide money for hunger relief programs

$500 – provides sustaining support to PORCH Raleigh

$400 – provides weekend meals to a child for a school year

$100 – provides healthy foods to community pantries

$50 – provides weekend meals to a child for a month

$25 – provides a grocery gift card to a family in need

$55 – sustains PORCH Raleigh for one week

$250 – sustains PORCH Raleigh for one month

$600 – sustains one week of staffing for hunger relief programs
