Board of Directors
Christine Cotton
Christine is one of PORCH’s three founders and original directors. Her goal is to utilize her various skills – and her compassion – to help PORCH Communities grow into an organization that will be relevant across the country for years to come. Her background is in project management, nonprofit development, and educational consulting. She also has plenty of volunteer and community development experience and an unwavering dedication to serving others.
Michael Frisch
Michael is a pro bono advisor to nonprofits in central North Carolina. Working with nonprofit boards over the past seven years to improve their long-term sustainability, Michael has specialized in organizational assessments, strategic plans, leadership development, and operational efficiencies. He has also served as an interim executive director for several nonprofit organizations in Durham. Additionally, Michael mentors professionals working in the nonprofit sector to enhance their leadership skills. He spent over 30 years in the health care industry, in various senior leadership roles. He has led organizations (or divisions within) that range in size from $50M to $475M.
Steve Spokane
In addition to his work with PORCH, Steve volunteers with Executive Service Corps of the Triangle, providing consulting and capacity-building services to local nonprofits. He also works with the Council for Entrepreneurial Development as a mentor and coach for the CED Venture Mentoring Service program in North Carolina. Now retired, Steve served in a variety of marketing leadership roles with McKesson Corporation and Change Healthcare.
Aimee Stone Munsell
Aimee is a growth leader who specializes in turning great ideas into sustainable operations. She is passionate about ambitious solutions that improve the quality of our lives. As a former Chief Marketing Officer and seasoned consultant, Aimee has expertise in program development; customer and community engagement; partnerships; branding and digital platforms. Her non-profit work spans Board positions, pro bono projects and on the ground volunteering for organizations such as PORCH Communities, ESC of the Triangle, New Lease on Life, Sisters of Good Shepherd and Student Sponsor Partners.
