Christine Cotton

Christine is one of the three founders and original directors of PORCH. Through a combination of her professional background in project management, nonprofit development and educational consulting, her many years of volunteerism and community development, and her dedication to serving others, Christine’s goal is to utilize her skills and compassion to keep PORCH Communities growing into an organization that will be relevant in the community for years to come.

Michael Frisch

Michael is a pro bono advisor to non-profits in the Triangle area of North Carolina. Working with nonprofit Boards, over the past 7 years to improve their long-term sustainability – Michael has specialized in organizational assessments, strategic plans, Board development and operational efficiencies. Michael has also served as an interim Executive Director for several non-profit organizations in Durham.

Additionally, Michael mentors professionals working in the non-profit sector to enhance their leadership skills.

Michael joined the PORCH Communities Board in July 2020 and currently serves as the organization’s Treasurer as well as a member of the operations committee. Like other members of the PORCH Communities Board, he works with all chapter founders and leaders to provide the support they need to be successful.

Michael has spent over 30 years in the healthcare sector in various senior leadership roles. He has significant experience in mergers & acquisitions, operational execution and developing young leaders. Michael has been responsible for leading organizations or divisions with an organization ranging in size from $50M to $475M.

Michael currently serves on several Boards, as a Board member, as well as being a member of the finance committee for another local non-profit

Steve Spokane

In addition to his work with PORCH, Steve volunteers with Executive Service Corps of the Triangle, providing consulting and capacity building services to local nonprofits. Steve also works with the Council for Entrepreneurial Development as a mentor and coach for the CED Venture Mentoring Service (VMS) program in North Carolina.

Prior to retiring, Steve served in a variety of marketing leadership with McKesson Corporation and Change Healthcare.
